Ibis amongst the pigeons
Day 1 in Adelaide spent exploring the city, some retail therapy and a wonderful evening meal in a fine dining Italian restaurant. This Australian White Ibis is commonly found in wetlands but as these became less "wet" it has adapted to urban dwelling were its long beak is ideal for raiding rubbish bins and they are locally known as "bin chickens".
The extra continues the theme of rubbish as these are bronze statues of pigs raiding a rubbish bin found in Rundle Mall, one of the main shopping streets,
