Port de Dinan
Our last morning in Dinan and in France as we take the ferry from Cherbourg back to Poole tonight.
We had another walk around the town this morning and looked down on the Port de Dinan from the town walls in le Jardin Anglais, so named after the many English who came over and settled here in the 19th C. They were called the English Colony. The port is connected to the town by steep cobbled lanes down to the waterfront. Today there are many yachts and motor boats moored along the banks.
After a light lunch with J we said our goodbyes and arrived in Cherbourg in good time for the crossing home.
