Pinboard #30 (Monday 28th October 2024)
It's on damp, grey, drab days like today that when it comes to Blip I particularly miss having a cat on hand. There is Loki of course, but he's over twenty miles away. I suppose these pinboards are but a poor substitute for cat portraits.
I intended this music-related board to be black and white for Mono Monday, but Frank Zappa had to be the odd one out. However the theme is Memories, which these are, and as he himself is in monochrome and all the other photo's are, I've cheekily decided to enter it anyway. At least it will stand out!
From left to right we have Jim Morrison of the Doors; PJ Harvey and Nick Cave, c. 1995; Kurt Cobain from Nirvana; Bob Dylan for a 1994 calendar picture, but probably taken in London in 1966; Frank Zappa as depicted in Mojo in 1994 after his death in December 1993, but again a much earlier image; Mick Jagger being interviewed in a humble café, but posh enough to serve wine, circa 1968.
Thanks to sk.
