Woo hoo!

I logged onto CUPOTY at 3pm to see the shortlists announced in their Close Up Photographer of the Year competition. I knew they had nearly 12,000 entries in the 11 categories so I was really delighted to hear my photo was shortlisted in the arachnids category. As spiders go it's a tiny one and so I called the image "Itsy Bitsy". I've attached it in extras. The drumstick allium bud was the size of my finger nail and the stars in the background are the flowers of a larger allium head.
