The best days of your life - ha!

Well thank goodness I was charming and courteous and good at dancing! How ghastly to be actually placed in an order in the form - it looks suspiciously like I was 18th out of 19!! Can that be right?? In fairness I was in a very gifted form and a late developer and may have just had whooping cough! 
Funnily enough I went down a googling rabbit hole yesterday and ended up at Maldon Court Preparatory School where I fear I didn't shine! It was a very nice little school, recently founded when I started. I was very happy there and had occasional moments of brilliance -  I won a Cadbury's pencil case  for writing an essay - either on oranges or the story of rubber, I can't remember which but the pencil case was a sumptuous purple and silver (much coveted). I also won an Easter egg in the shape of the Montgolfier balloon for my painting of Perseus rescuing Andromeda!  I hated knitting (socks - urgh), liked nature walks, was seriously useless at Arithmetic (!) (we had to know all the times tables by our 8th birthday in order to get a badge, I think I made it by the skin of my teeth), had to wear brown stripey knickers to match my brown stripey summer dress so that said dress could be tucked into said knickers for dancing lessons and was once the dove in a production of Noah's Ark, causing my brother to seethe with jealousy as he was the raven and I got to return to the stage - probably very reluctantly! I wept buckets when I left - having not achieved the ultimate goal of the 11+. Fortunately my best friend also failed to pass, maybe she was 19th in the class. Thanks SK for this trip down memory lane.

And it's my  final Tiny Tuesday challenge tomorrow, concluding my elemental set and it's the most esoteric- aether or spirit! Heck! Alternatively you can go for alchemy or a bit of magic. Which means that as we are so close to Samhain/Halloween I will accept tiny spooky organic Celtic offerings focusing on a bit of the otherworldly stuff. Have fun. #TT492.
