Skirting round the problem?

Not at all, what a thing to suggest!
Trouble is having moved the furniture to fit the skirting, now the furniture has been put back you can’t see what I’ve done.
More skirting on the other side of the room tomorrow and there’s a possibility the plasterer may come as well.
