Bucket o' spuds

The theory being that by growing them in buckets you don't give over a bed to growing them, you can move them around - plant them early in the greenhouse and move them outside when the risk of frost is past - and you can harvest them one bucket at a time, leaving the rest in the earth until you need them. It also has the benefit you don't leave those annoying little spuds in the ground where they can pop up unexpectedly next year. And. And you can reuse the compost to repot your onions, which is what I did today.
