Mono Monday: Week 562 ...

... memory.

I was so surprised to see this Gray Catbird in the back garden this morning.  Especially since they are our Summer birds and this one should be in Florida by now!  We had actually seen one about a week ago ... also a surprise at that time.  They bring back some lovely memories of warm summer days.  

But today isn't filled with all happy memories.  Sadly it was on this day in 2015 that we lost our beloved kitty Zazu.  For those of you that have been following me since then you know how devastated I was by this loss.  But he will always hold a special place in my heart.

I was all set to post the picture in Extras (only in mono!) of one of our Winter birds .... a White-throated sparrow.  But seeing this out-of-season catbird changed my mind!  Please have a look full screen.
