Leo..

..pretending to care
where I am, before running
off into the world..

So we were on a little field with only a small exit to the brook area. I was doing exercises with Leo, practicing recall, getting him to run alongside me (photo evidence!) and then out of the blue he stopped, sniffed the air and pegged it. Heart-stopping. I went in pursuit and eventually found him safe and sniffing a tree trunk, he came back to me enthusiastically but he’s sealed his fate as a Lead Dog, I fear. He’s just too unpredictable and he was so near the roads :-/ I don’t know how other people do it, maybe their dogs aren’t part Kangaroo with a hint of Squirrel Detective??!
Anyway, everyone else is ok. So that’s it today.
