After the Storm

What a day, torrential rain with thunder and lightning this morning followed by a grey afternoon with a few sunny spells. Tonight the grading of the soil had to take a back seat as it was rather wet.

Teatime saw Mrs F and me watching the news for the entrance of the Royal Baby. For an hour and a half it was going to be "in the next five minutes" it was quite funny listening to the presenters trying to think of something new to say as time dragged by.

After the arrival we headed outside to tackle the overgrown privet hedge. Cut it back to just past the front of the house, before accidentally cutting the bright red cable in two with the trimmers. Now how did that happen?

A quick trip to a well know DIY store to get a cable connector. On the way home stopped to capture this image of the countryside before settling down to fix the cable.
