Carolina's journal

Memory

Memories can take you back years or even centuries and we all have them.... Good or bad.  This is a good memory of my little sewing machine that I actually used.  I would sit next to my mom as she sewed and make clothes for my little dollies.   The doll here and her luggage is a Mary Hoyer doll made in the 30's and 40's since my mom and aunt both had one. The one pictured here belonged to my Aunt Donna. The one that was my mom's was absconded by my step sister years ago when I was 12.  As far as I know she gave it to someone along with everything else that wasn't nailed down.  I suppose my doll with the brown hair still belongs to someone in California!
Good news from the plastic surgeon. He said my surgery is straight forward and easy. I was relieved!   I'll have it done before Thanksgiving and be out of commission for a few weeks. Then I will have to be careful for another month.
Thanks for stopping by and will get to journals as I can. Appreciate the hearts and stars too!!
Many thanks to sk for hosting MM this month!
