The Log Trade

NZ sends over a million tons of logs and lumber to the Asia Pacific area with China being the biggest market followed distantly by South Korea, Japan and Australia. and our stagger today went past the loading area in the harbour. It's a big deal......The ships are usually equipped with their own cranes so the ship loaders here are not used. It's been a "Variable" day with periods of rain and sun and finally decided on sun and 15 c at 4.30 pm.
I'm off to see the cook about tea now.....OH.....It's me.
Oh and the Sapphire Star (Orient Express) still hasn't got its wheels yet but the industrial dispute seems to be settled. for now......
