My task last night was stripping out a damaged shower tray from the en suite. The tray had a lot of movement and a hairline crack had developed around the centre structure with the plumbers not doing a very good job of fitting it, the middle leg wasn’t even fitted and none of the legs were locked so whole unit had become unstable. 


The tiles will all need to be removed and new plaster board fitted and tanked prior to re tiling.

My thinking is that I may as well strip the whole en suite out and do it properly as I hate the ceramics and the floor tiles which I want to replace with a modern LVT flooring which is warmer underfoot and easier to clean.

I can work on it at my leisure as the main bathroom has recently been refurbished.
