The Train Jinx

Up at ridiculous o'clock to head to Manchester.

The first train was fine but the connecting train ended up being delayed by over half an hour. Luckily I was in no immediate rush, as my meeting wasn't until the afternoon.

I was going to catch the tram out to our depot, but it was going to take 45 minutes, so I caught a taxi instead.

Had a few chats at the depot before my meeting. My young padawan nearly gave me a heart attack when she said she'd got a new job, thankfully she was joking after I said her original teams message sounded ominous. My God at my age I don't need that. Lol!

My one hour meeting at the depot was ok, nothing special. It was farcical to get over 20 people to Salford for a one hour meeting. I did warn them on Friday.

And then it was time to catch the train to London. And then it went horribly wrong. A points failure at Milton Keynes was backing trains up, so I ended up being over an hour late getting into Euston station.

I'm not a great advert for train travel. Lol!

I then made my way to my hotel only to find that it was the wrong hotel and I had to walk 15 minutes to get to the one I was booked in. In the pouring rain.

Monday was not a good day. Lol!

Today I am thankful for:

1.  A good catch up with my young padawan, even though she gave me a heart attack
2.  Seeing this little train in Paddington on my way to the hotel
