Bladerunner….

….the remains of a typhoon came barreling in across the Sea of Japan and dumped an impressive load of rain on us for most the day. The first shitey weather we’ve had really.

We did a bit of green space walking and then undergrounding around Meiji Jingu, and the touristy spots in Shinjuku and Shibuya, before taking the Tokyo equivalent of the Circle Line round to Yanaka. It’s the traditional neighbourhood next to Tokyo Uni that wasn’t bombed out of existence by US bombers during the war.

Then sheltered out of the rain in a tiny pub on Basketball Street and drank cheap Japanese malt whisky (most acceptable).
