Phormium Tenax and Chloe.

This afternoon we drove over the river to Culross for a good walk and visited the community garden where we found this New Zealand flax growing and flourishing. 
When grown in a hedge, this makes a superb windbreak as it grows to a pretty fair height, this one must be well over six feet tall, excluding the flower stalks. Chloe sitting pretty for scale.
