Dalry
I got myself off and out early enough this morning to enable me to take the roundabout cycle route to work via the North Edinburgh Paths. As a result, I chose the new Shona Hardie artwork on the Western Approach Road as it crosses Dalry Road for my blip (I'm sorry that link is a LinkedIn post, so I hope it works ok for those who don't have a LinkedIn account or aren't logged in; I couldn't find anything else appropriate). It's very striking, as indeed is all her work. Just the other side of the Western Approach road crossing over the Dalry Road is another new bridge put in to carry the Roseburn path on a continuous loop up towards Fountainbridge. If they finish that (and don't close the Roseburn path for tramworks) before I retire, I'll have a smoother transit for my long cycle. At the moment, the last third or so of the journey involves quite a lot of boxing and coxing on the bike.
Busy day at work with interviews in the morning and teaching in the afternoon, and a lot of new meetings arrived in my diary for later this week. I am feeling very tired this evening.
