Triple Shrine Exposure, The Friars, Aylesford
We thought we'd a try visit to somewhere different today so headed to Tonbridge. Of course, on the way there we got stuck in yet another traffic jam and so it took quite a bit longer to reach our destination. When we eventually arrived there we decided to visit a pub, The Punch & Judy, recommended by The Secret Drinker who writes a column for the Kent Messenger. It was a nice, friendly back street hostelry and well worth the visit but from there the micro trip went a bit downhill.
First of all, I realised I'd left my wallet in the car and then on the walk back down the High Street I discovered my phone was missing. Panic ensued as I was sure I'd put it in the carrier bag I had with me but then I thought I'd better head back to the pub in case I left it there. I ran, heart pumping all they way back and very luckily it was still on the table where I'd left it - phew! By the time all of that was sorted out it was time to leave as our parking ticket was due to expire. Only then, on the way home, did we realise we'd completely missed the nicer part of the town which included a medieval castle where we could well have got our shots for the day! I therefore persuaded my brother to take us via The Friars to see if I could capture a multiple exposure. Unfortunately, I got my bracketing and my multiple exposure options completely mixed up and couldn't work out why I couldn't get the result I wanted. It took me a good half an hour before I realised my mistake but finally I tried again and got today's image of the shrine.
