THE LAST HONEY BEE
Flowers in these parts are dying out and the bees are making the most of it. It's been unusually warm (upper 70s F.) here the last couple of days. Perfect for getting some chores done that need to be done before the snow flies.

I harvested the last of the tomatoes this morning and then went about cutting down the greenery from off the tomato cages. It was hard work as the wind was blowing in the warm weather to the tune of 40mph gusts (that's 64kph) and the big plastic disposal can kept blowing over. It was kinda hard on my arthritic back. Had to sit down a few times.

Tomorrow I'll have to change oil in the snowblower and pump up the tires tyres. And I'll get a head start on cutting down all the dead plants in the flower garden. I especially have to prune all the suckers off the dwarf lilacs. You have to be a real black thumb to kill lilacs.
