Journey Through Time

Gazania

This is one of our new gazania flowers. Bill was fascinated with these, so we got them when we were up at the nursery yesterday.

Gazania rigens, sometimes called treasure flower, is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to southern Africa. It is naturalised elsewhere and is widely cultivated as an ornamental garden plant.

A warmer day today, officially 88 F (31.1111 C.) We have just had the best spring/summer we've had in a long time. Morning clouds and cool evening temperatures, and warm/hot afternoons. Amazing and quite welcome for us in the Pacific NW.

Watching the Royal Couple with their newborn brings back lots of memories when I had our baby boy. Not a royal birth, but we called him King David for awhile. David means beloved son, and he is that to us, of course. Kate looked beautiful, I thought. Pregnancy softened her and rounded her out a bit, as it usually does. I'm sure she will be slim and trim again in no time. Just like I was. Bwahahahahaha!

See ya
