Elounda from "Who pays the Ferryman"

On Saturday I took Sweetheart up to Elounda for a long weekend there; we both hold dear memories of that place from when we visited it for the first time in our lives in April 2017; then with our dear friend Ingemaj, who died from cancer 6 years ago.

Here in Elounda the English tele-series "Who pays the Ferryman", with music by Greek/Cretan composer Yannis Markopoulos, was filmed in Elounda is a lovely village what's protected from the open sea / Pelagos, by the peninsula Kalydon. Between that peninsula Kalydon (here on the right hand side in my blip) and mainland Crete is the small island of Spinalonga. It were the Venetians who built there the fortress and from there the last of the Venetians left Crete, when the Ottoman forces seized Crete (1669)

Oh dear Sweetheart's cat has missed us and she now lies under my arms and with here nose on my laptop... I must add this instantly.
