The daily mundane routine of browsing the latest news on our mobiles after dinner. 

The news in Iceland right now is mostly the coming elections on November 30th (my husband's brother, reverend Davíð Þór Jónsson, will lead the Socialist Party's list of candidates in the South West constituency), the teachers' strike and possibly a doctors' strike to follow and the increased probability of a new volcanic eruption.
Also the very sad and upsetting news of an E.coli outbreak in Mánagarður preschool in Reykjavík. My sister-in-law, Arna Dögg, is a teacher at this preschool and it's been devastating for the parents and school staff to go through this.
