Architectural features
I had an appointment with my audiologist this morning because one of my hearing aids has developed a very loud crackle. Of course, it didn’t happen today when I put it on! Isn’t it always the way? Nevertheless, that one had been quite uncomfortable anyway, so it’s now gone back to the manufacturer’s for the crackle to be investigated, and also a new mould made which will hopefully sort out the soreness in my ear.
I took the tube to the appointment but walked home and took these shots of some of the different architectural features I spotted en route. The George pub is at the top of George Lane and, despite the pub sign showing the monarch, licensing records show that an alehouse of that name existed in 1700, over a decade before George I was on the throne. The pub was therefore probably dedicated to St. George originally.
