Saint Michel de Cuixa

We would normally have been walking with the walking group today but we were very late back from Girona airport last night as the plane was delayed. We decided, just the three of us, to do a local walk. The cloud base was low, so there was no point climbing high. In the end, we did a circuit down the Taurinya taking in the Abbey. Saint Michel no longer has a monastic community but is one of the most prestigious abbeys in Catalonia and welcomed pilgrims on one of the Santiago pilgrimage routes.
