Take 17, of the method of getting the FW lettering on the model railway rolling stock.  'Professional' decals proved too shiny and with pronounced edges to the rectangle they're mounted on; the jury's still out on painting through stencils, and home made decals had a big slab of not-quite-matching grey around the letters.

Having found my scalpel in order to cut stencils I had a go at cutting around the already fitted home-made decals and I think that's going to be the most workable method.

The trucks will be weathered subsequently so a few rough edges around the letters will be hidden well enough.
