Buzzing

The day has been dry, still and mild. There are still a scattering of flowers in bloom. At the allotment today I saw roses, dahlias, rudbeckia, sage and lavender in flower. However it was this big wall covered in flowering ivy which attracted most insects, including some bees.

Good to:
- Spend an hour at the allotment sorting out compost bins for the winter (covering and securing them), and laying down fresh wood chips on the ground.
- Update my allotment log with notes on my experiences and learning this year. I’ll use this to help me decide what to grow next year.
- To have for dinner some of the aubergine and spinach bhuna curry Andy made a few days ago.
