Looks can be deceiving
Yes, I know this hospital, Gartnavel General in north west Glasgow looks grim (opened by Princess Alexandra in 1971), however, looks can be deceiving.
I was over in the west accompanying my pal, Tim, visiting his wife, Liz, who has vascular dementia.
It was hard seeing Liz having to deal with this cruel disease, but the ladies she is sharing the ward with are lovely (Angela, Joan and Anne), and the nurses are absolute lovely. The two nurses we talked too were so kind and spent time talking to us and Liz.
So, it’s not always about how modern and glamorous a building looks, what’s important is the care that’s taking place inside.
