Hill Top Ramblings

Heybridge Basin

We had a full day today. First, we drove to Heybridge Basin for a coffee at the Tiptree café, and a walk along the sea wall. There were a few geese, lapwings, ducks and little egret. The Mirror dinghys were out on very calm water, but moving along. That had Helen and me reminiscing about our childhood!
We went on to Tiptree Heath to look for fungi and Rob found a couple of wax caps.
In a moment of madness we went into the garden centre to look at the Xmas decorations, but it was terribly busy and all rubbish so not unexpected.
Home was a haven of tranquility, and Helen gave us the exciting news that she and Chris are going to be grandparents! She waited to tell us until they had the 12 week scan, that just came through. Helen is very excited already, and Chris is definitely pleased, in a Yorkshire sort of way!
