Day at a Time

All Hallows' Eve

The last day of October already. Halloween. I think I write every year about how I regret the way Halloween has developed here. It's always been a celebration but the low key guising, wrapped in a sheet, which my children used to enjoy has gone. I've alerted the parents of young children in the street that I'll be open for guisers (the nine year old informed me yesterday that it's 'trick or treaters' but old habits die hard) till 7pm. Thereafter my storm door will be firmly closed. I hope to see a few wee ones in their Halloween outfits.

My blip is a bit of Halloween craft which I used with the children.

I'm trying a new yoga class this morning. It's a 09:00 start and, for the first time since the original lockdown in March 2020, I'm going in person to the yoga studio. I've become very lazy by joining classes online from home. I'll see how this one goes. I've still not found my ideal.

This evening I'm off to a friend's house for a meal. A big treat as she is a great cook and is catering for a crowd tonight.
