Last Standing

There is a farmhouse and outbuildings surrounded by acres of land owned by a lady who died last year. Her two children inherited the property, and the son has lived there until recently. When I drove by the land was being cleaned up and some of the buildings had been torn down, I expect this building may be gone soon. I have visited the lady who lived here a few times years ago, the grandchildren have gathered eggs in the hen house and fed the peacocks. Of course, the chickens, peacocks, and dogs are gone. I suspect the land is valuable because it is surrounded by well-developed properties. I wonder what will happen to this property.

I am tagging this for Derelict Sunday because it is a good example of the land reclaiming an abandoned building.
