Another day
when I only took one photo. I suppose that means it was a slightly dull day. This is the oxalis which used to belong to my mum, so I’m keen to keep it alive and well. It lives in my kitchen, near the window. It flowers all year . .
I spent the morning doing some essential chores - I’m going away for 3 days- my son is staying here part of the time I’m away - some music thing, I’m not sure what. So I needed to turn my very muddled decluttering and sorting room back into a spare room.
It’s getting a bit heavy (as we used to say in the sixties) at the Oxfam shop. Behind the scenes it’s an awfully cluttered mess - partly because they have stopped the company which takes away unsellable donations (over 50%) before they organised a new one. I spent the first hour just moving other stuff before I could get to the fiction donations. But far worse, the two new young people, manager and deputy, are getting on very badly and it has an effect on everything. They both tell me how awful the other is:( I don’t need it. Plus the week is timetabled so they never work together, never see each other. They only communicate through WhatsApp, and we know how badly that can go. The management above them is appallingly ineffective. I found myself googling ‘vacancies for volunteers in Bristol’ last night. Though I haven’t decided anything yet.
