Halloween...

…………………….....……or All Hallows Eve



October 31st is the evening before All Saints’ Day (or All Hallows Day)

It is celebrated by children dressing up in costumes and trick-or-treating. Compared to some countries it is very understated in New Zealand.

While in a bakery in the rural town of Wakefield today I spied these treats prepared for sale in honour of Halloween - no doubt they are tasty, but a tad gruesome looking all the same.
