Pirate Ship

Bean has declared the climbing frame a Pirate Ship now that it has its canopy and door! Steve and the boys had to climb aboard this evening after tea to watch trains among other things. Funny watching Bear. I love how his signing is coming on, along with his speech and language. He's very expressive!

Today Steve was out all day helping ReLoved, and I had two hot sticky boys to entertain. I was not on form today. But, the nappies got washed and hung out (what rain?! We had a couple of rather pointless efforts of big raindrops dropping but nothing that came to very much) and we played out most of the day. And I finally managed to get into town with them to get their feet measured. They have indeed grown, again. Bean is now a size 9 and Bear is a size 5. FIVE. I'm sure he was a three and a half last time he was measured, and that wasn't very long ago either....

Bean is officially fourandthreequarters now, it being the 23rd today. He can swim. He is awesome. He can write his own name, and can do basic maths (adding, subtracting). He builds things out of duplo and creates stories around them. He often directs us in imaginatory play - currently we are mostly in character as pirates of course!
