Seeing Beyond Looking

Pumpkin Pussycat

I can't believe that I bought a Chestnut Pumpkin this morning especially to take a photo for Halloween!  Another double exposure with Honey, just because it's fun to do!

All Hallows' Eve, the day before All Souls' Day when we remember lost loved ones, light candles, take flowers to cemeteries.

Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.

I dedicate this photo to all the wonderful kitties that have shared my life:
Charlotte with her pretty blue eyes
Valentine, the adorable and affectionate Siamese
Vanny, the gorgeous sweet-natured tabby

Best seen in large to see the whole photo without scrolling,

I'm not sure that this is abstract enough for Abstract Thursday because we can very definitely see my little cat's face in a pumpkin, but someone suggested that I enter, so I have! Thank you Ingeborg for hosting.
