Fullness…

….a day packed to the brim. First an early tube across town to the financial and political district to catch-up with Nori. We worked together back in the day. He showed us around the office where General McArthur ran Japan for six years after WW2, incredible history. Then across the road to the Imperial Palace for a wander…the location of McArthur’s office overlooking the Emperor’s hoose was no coincidence. Then to Roppongi Hills to view Louise Burgeois’ giant spider sculpture.Then to the Ghibli Museum (flippin’ brilliant) before returning to a packed Shinjuku which is going mad for Halloween. The evening was rounded off with cocktails on the 47th floor bar of our hotel.
