Sparrow it is then
I really had a pretty unsuccessful blipwalk today. Went to the reserve for the first time in quite a few days where the first thing I saw was a kingfisher. The problem was, although there was a second or two to get a shot I thought it was a robin! Was this the general gloom (of which there was plenty) or my cataracts? Only when it flashed across the water did I catch the blue. After that I spent some time blipping a grey wagtail, but again got defeated by the gloom. The truth is it's partly down to the new camera and the other part just my fault, but there's no point complaining. I'm going to have some difficulties with birds this winter when the light is bad.
So instead here's one of the sparrows that lives in Nun's Road, looking quite cute but ridiculously grumpy.
Not much else achieved today but that's okay. Let's just hope for a better day tomorrow. Enjoy your evening xx
