Pink halloween
Today I’ve been near the sea! A pebble beach with very interesting pebbles.
I’ve sat in the garden by the Brighton Pavillion and as Ro waited in the queue to get us some baked potatoes I was just relaxing, listening to a guitare player and watching the leaves falling from the trees at each gust of wind. The sun filtered through the trees. A grey squirrel passed a few inches away with what looked like a conker in its mouth and pigeons walked around, even under our little, green table, between my feet, unhindered looking for anything edible. Every now and again as though there was a signal they would all fly off do a loop around and come back. A very peaceful place.
There were people: one lady with four gentlemen was gesticulating and keeping the conversation going as they ate sandwiches. Another looked as though this was a frequent place to lunch for her! A man with his little lap dog who was watching him on his phone with great interest! Everyone seemed happy!
I started to think about the history of the place. Imagine the Prince of Wales , the first one, carousing with his friends, meeting in these same gardens.
Ro came back with my hot chocolate and the potatoes arrived soon after! A delicious meal enhanced by our surroundings!
