Padley Gorge

I'd booked the day off work, to take my camera out for a stroll with photography club friends.  3 of us got the train to Grindleford (where we  met up with another who had decided to drive) and then had a stroll up Padley Gorge.  The overcast day meant that the leaves were all damp, and the autumn colours were positively glowing.  My watch recorded almost 17,000 steps and 18 floors of climbing before the battery gave out (not long before we returned to the station).  The train back was cancelled, so as D lives close to me I grabbed a lift home.

So a positive day, which got even more so when I had a message just after I'd got home to say that my grant funding application to Arts Council England had been successful - so my full caregivers project is definitely happening in early 2025!
