Halloween crafting

I've been at Castle Espie this afternoon, from 2-4pm, making magic wands! We used sticks from the woodland, stuck a small coloured stone on one end, wrapped ribbon on the shaft, and put a feather on the other end. Each colour of stone was associated with a particular type of spell, red for health, blue for water, and there was meaning in the colour of ribbon too. The feather was so the wand could return to the owner if it ever got lost. It was a fun afternoon and we must have made about 20 wands. My next time in Castle Espie is some training for the new updated version of Generation Wild.
