Autumn In Newtown
I had to go to Wales today, to drain down and winterize our caravan. Today was the last day of this season and I needed to get it done.
So I took Hollie and spent a good hour at the 'van draining down the boiler, opening up all the taps and putting anti freeze anywhere water might accumulate.
I do this every year and fingers crossed have never had any problems. The site charge £100 pounds for this service so you could say I have saved a hundred quid...
But it's on me if anything goes wrong. A burst boiler would be a catastrophe.
Afterwards I had a pleasant hour walking round Dolerw Park in Newtown, where the colours shone bright despite the overcast conditions.
Back at home I cooked lamb hotpot with fresh sprouts and carrots.
And gravy.
Tomorrow I have to deliver the local newsletter/magazine to fifty houses in the village. A job I enjoy if it is not raining.
Another day done, feeling weary.
