Everyday Life

Black Snow

Last night I attended the out of hours clinic in the A&E dept of the local hospital. I was seen half an hour after my appointment time, which wasn't too bad I suppose. The nurse practitioner I saw prescribed not one but two lots of antibiotics since I'm allergic to penicillin. Yuck! Touch wood I've been ok so far.

Today I have been trying to get to grips with my antibiotic - taking routine. There's one that I have to take twice a day, the other is three times. Both need taking with lots of water, one requires food also. And I have to fit in my thyroid tablet that has to be taken on an empty stomach, with no food for a minimum of 30 minutes after.. It's tricky! I have drawn up a time table.

Today I cleared my backlog of emails and did a few other small jobs.

Later in the day saw a bit of a bombshell. I'm not at liberty to say more at the moment but suffice to say it's nothing good...

This is one of my Halloween decorations. We've had only one group of Trick or Treaters. This was partly our fault as I forgot to put the light in the window to say we welcomed them.

There has been fireworks though... Already! Poor Minstrel is hiding underneath my knicker drawer!
