Got a new car
I am not much fussed with cars, they are machines that do a function like a fridge or washing machine. Fancy names or lots of letters after the name , like XLS or GTO never impress me.
We have bought and driven Toyota Yaris's for at least the last 12 years. They are simple and when the key is turned they start. That what I have always wanted from a car.
I am now finding I want something extra from my vehicle; along side reliability I need a car that I can get in and out of without a lot of difficulty and moaning . This new car is still called a Yaris but on the outside it looks completely different and is called a Yaris Cross. It is much higher of the ground and the doors are bigger or a better shape. The inside layout and controls are almost the same or so I thought until I could not make the radio work. This problem now solved (aren't wives wonderful) and as an added bonus I have JazzFM tuned in.
The young sales man was very good although he seemed a bit perturbed when we announced that "this car will see us out". Not sure if he was worried about out mortality or his chances of selling us another car in the future.
