Halloween

Quiet day, I had a million house jobs to do this morning, the boys played outside. Lunch, haircuts, Waitrose, then back home for some homework (groan..) and the village Halowwen party.

The village pays for the party through a fund, all the children who go played games (starting the musical statues, eldest was out first, he was devastated), then musical chairs - eldest made it to the last two, far happier! After tea, we all went trick or treating. The village rule is pumpkins / decorations, the house can be visited. And because all the children go at once, houses doent have people knocking at them all evening. It really was a great way of doing it. We wandered around the village, everyone chatting away, getting more,and more, and more sweets. We have so many sweets I don't know what to do with them!
