It has been one of those days of endless chores, some of which I put off last week before I went away and became urgent after I arrived home two days late.
Others - like laundry - are always there and putting it off achieves nothing. I got it done.
Some are seasonal, like the deluge of dead leaves which arrived in my garden while I was away ("arrived" from neighbours' trees, as usual). I dealt with a lot of that.
Putting away holiday stuff like guidebooks and plug adaptors can wait until tomorrow.
I like the Poznań book. A few of his experiences remind me of my year in Toulouse (especially those involving food, drink and women).
"Taking public transport unnecessarily is one way to see a place - its odd crumbs and loose ends, each vital to the whole, and no less alive for being less seen."
