Halloween and Divali

A busy day/night for guisers and fireworks.

Streams of kids were out in the streets in the area around our offices, collecting treats in orange buckets and dressed in fancy costumes . One home was offering watermelon treats for those sugar conscious tricksters.

As night fell the Festival of Lights began with our neighbours delivering treats and lighting sparklers as their celebration began. Thankfully our two are not worried about loud noises as the “lights” became bombs going off in rapid succession.

We enjoyed a chicken espetada braai and whiled away a few hours in the garden listening to some gentle music in contrast to the evening’s entertainment for some.
