The wasp and the ivy
On a walk I came across a large and rather elderly ivy bush beside the footpath. As I looked more closely I saw that there were many insects hopping about the old seed heads on which they could obviously find some food.
It is late in the season so I assume they are feeding themselves to top up before hibernation, whenever possible. I also noticed a few ants crawling over the same areas, as well as web evidence of spiders in residence.
I've added another nearby plant's seedheads which I think look amazing.
