Camouflaged dogs
Backblipped Friday 1st November
I was very grateful that the clocks went back last night to give us another hour in bed. Henry slept quite well in between Mr PHL and I and as the boys were up fairly late last night they weren’t clamouring to get out too early.
We did have to be up and out by 10.30 as Mr PHL had his Covid booster and flu jab booked this morning. We managed some bacon and eggs for breakfast and waved Susan and her wee dog off before leaving ourselves.
When we got to the vaccination centre, I was hoping to get a flu jab at the same time although I’m not actually eligible this year in my own right but should be as Mr PHL is on an immunosuppressant. It turned out they didn’t have a record of the appointment though there was one in 27th November. Mr PHL was adamant he hadn’t changed the date and luckily they were able to fit us both in. Thank you NHS as when we got home I checked his letter and you’ve guessed it, he was a month early!
A lovely walk through the leaves in the woods at Dalkeith in the early afternoon before I got a roast chicken dinner organised. I’d splashed out on an M&S chicken as Miss PHL is back from her school trip to Malawi and we were collecting her and bringing her home for a home cooked meal.
She was buzzing from her trip and had brought some very lovely souvenirs back for us. The trip sounded amazing and a great experience for the kids involved.
