Wot no birds?!
I think I scared away all of the likely characters when I opened the bedroom window and despite standing quietly for some time, nothing of interest appeared near the feeders apart from a couple of squirrels taking advantage as usual.
A number of jobs had to be ticked off the list today. The iron came out of its cupboard for the first time in months in an attempt to (not 100% successful) remove the creases from the new curtains. Then they had to be hung, which meant some serious dusting and cleaning of poles and fixtures. Several washing loads have been done in preparation for going away, but the drying may be problematic as it's been a still, gloomy day again. I've processed the final tomatoes into soup, walked down to the village to check the bus times for tomorrow as I don't trust the app and called into the Post Office to see if the Christmas Beano has come in yet. Smiler promises to keep me a copy when it does. I walked back up the village with Corinthian and heard more of her walking holiday in Turkey, then it was time for a cuppa before the next round of jobs.
Now I can see why the paint on our fence is rubbing off!
