Cat Bowls
A pottering day and catching up with emails and paperwork. Village fireworks tonight, which claim to be the loudest in Essex, so I hope the cats will sleep through the noise.
Today’s picture is of the new cat bowls I have had to purchase so that Dougal and Florence do not eat each other’s food. We have had these bowls before, they lasted about ten years, but eventually one lid became buckled; someone’s head got in the way and the other one just gave up. I was reluctant to replace them as at that time there was no need, but now that Dougal is sometimes having different food to Florence, they have become necessary. Florence eats all of her food in one sitting; Dougal likes to graze throughout the day. If Dougal’s food is not protected, she will eat all of his too. Originally, they were about £50 each, but they have since increased in price to £115 each! They are guaranteed for three years, so now I have a record of when we purchased them.
The temperature at noon today was eleven degrees Celsius.
