Fungi

I went for a walk round the woods and lake at Blickling this morning in search of fungi, but not much around. I liked the cluster on this felled tree trunk, mainly because of the strong colours. I would normally go earlier, but it can be quite slippy and uneven on the paths around the lake, so I didn't want to risk aggravating my rib injury. Being half term, there were quite a few people out for a walk, a lot with their children which was nice to see. This afternoon I washed the windows and doors at the back of the bungalow / garage, another task ticked off the list. There was 42.5mm of rain in October here, mostly in the first half of the month and 78% of average. It felt weird walking on 1st Nov in light autumn clothes, jacket open and no gloves or hat, this warmer weather is set to last at least another week.
